The Lottery has temporarily suspended prize payments to Mega Millions ticket holders. They recommend that ticket holders keep their Mega Millions tickets until they resolve the issue.

Edwards had just placed $40 in a lottery machine at a Los Angeles supermarket. "Someone rude" bumped her into the machine, and Edwards accidentally pushed the wrong number.

Edwards said, "He just bumped in to me, didn’t say a word and just walked off the door."

She is known for buying cheaper tickets, but when she accidentally pushed the button, she bought a $30 200X Scratchers' ticket. Edwards claimed she was annoyed that she had spent all of her money on one ticket.

Edwards explained that while I didn't believe it at first I kept going on the 405 freeway. "I almost crashed my car when I looked down at the ticket," Edwards said. "I pulled over, looked at the ticket again, and scanned it using my (California Lottery smartphone) app. It was still there, but I kept thinking it couldn't possibly be right. Lotto Mistakes
